Healthy Breakfast Recipe Omelet

Here’s a healthy, filling, protein-packed breakfast recipe that’s sure to please your taste buds without the added sugars and processed ingredients often found in cereals, pop tarts, and baked goods. To balance the savory elements of this dish, I like to add a side of fresh fruit for a sweet kick.

Here’s what you’ll need:

4 egg whites

1 natural turkey sausage link cooked

2 slices natural bacon cooked

1/4 cup diced red onion

1/4 cup diced bell peppers sautéed

Pepper to taste

Optional:

1/2 sliced avocado for topping

Hot sauce for topping (I love Valentina)

Directions:

Cook the egg whites in a nonstick skillet until they’re almost cooked through. Then add the meat, onions, and peppers to half of one side. Flip the other half over the ingredients omelet style and let cook until done. Top it off with half of a sliced avocado and the Valentina hot sauce. Enjoy! 

This is such a quick, easy, delish-dish! And the great thing about this breakfast is that it’s packed with protein, which helps promote satiety until it’s time for your next healthy meal!
